Peppermint tea in the morning sunshine

Still life is my passion, an escape from the noise and mess of motherhood. Methodical, practical, representational of my surroundings, my work offers glimpses into corners of my home.
This orange glass casts a really pretty shadow and I had to capture it in the morning sunshine. I painted it over a period of 3 days to make sure I captured the shadows and reflections of the glass onto the floor.
Painting commonly found objects which are recognisable in a contemporary style with a pop art/graphic feel.
This painting comes with a floating frame made locally with sustainable timber, sanded and waxed to protect it for many years.
